Our trained nature mentors guide students to finding a deeper understanding of the natural world and their place in it. Our program structure includes a mix of directed activity and child-led play which allows students to explore the natural environment on their own terms. Learn more about what makes us different.
Between our rotating curriculum and the inspiration provided by nature and our highly trained instructors, every term of Coyote Kids is unique, year after year. Students of our Learning Pathways programs like “NinjaCats: Way of the Cougar” can earn their Level One Certificate for the nature learning pathway of the semester, or if a returning student, they can work toward their Level Two Certificate with our guidance. Students of our Naturalist Studies program will have different keepsake project and portfolios each semester. Students of our Wildkin program will spend each term mastering a new Wildkin learning system role.
Parents receive a periodic email newsletter that describes what has been happening at Coyote Kids! nature camp (including pictures!) and includes our weekly “Dirt Time” assignments. While optional, those kids who choose to complete their Dirt Time assignments will receive a custom Coyote Kids bandanna that they can use to show off their achievement, as well as 75 additional uses!
