Member at large (She/her)

Aimee is an east coast original born on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and raised in Southern New Hampshire. She completed her undergrad in Biopsychology at the University of Vermont and then moved into the woods to live and work as a backcountry caretaker for the Green Mountain Club. From there she got a Master’s in wilderness therapy at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and from there found her way out west as a doctoral researcher focused on human relationships with nature and technology. Through her career she has worked as a wilderness therapist and program director, child and family therapist, and organizational strategist.

Currently, Aimee is focused on connecting the community through her work in Project Leadership at Lane Transit District (LTD). The opportunity to join the WENS board was fortuitous as Aimee was seeking a way to bring her passion for nature connection, children, and service to a great program leaning into challenges like diversity, equity, and inclusion; and supporting children’s access to nature. Aimee lives in South Eugene with her partner, awesome kid, perfect cat, spunky chihuahua-mutt and goofy poodle. She loves getting into Eugene’s awesome green space, and eating pizza.
