Leah is a digital content marketing strategist in the life sciences industry. She has worked as a wildland firefighter, ski tech, and goat milker. She grew up in the coast range near Newport on a small Organic family farm surrounded by private and national forest land in a house without a phone, that used a generator for electricity, and had gravity-fed spring water. The connection to nature she experienced as a child is what has drawn her to support Whole Earth Nature School, where she hopes that many students can learn from, take joy in, and gain an understanding of the interconnectedness of themselves and nature.

She has volunteered with MECCA, 4J schools, Burrito Brigade, and other local nonprofits. Leah is a parent to a middle school student who has attended numerous Whole Earth camps. Her family enjoys camping, fostering dogs, gardening, and playing board games.
